Ensuring Children’s Needs Are Met, WVI Continues Post-Earthquake Response Efforts

As of 21 August 2026, children and families across several villages supported by Wahana Visi Indonesia (WVI) continue to face numerous challenges in their post-earthquake recovery. Access to clean water and sanitation remains limited, a number of families are still living in temporary tents, educational activities have not yet fully resumed, and the health and psychosocial needs of children have become an increasingly critical focus.

In the midst of these circumstances, WVI, alongside local communities and various key stakeholders, continues its response efforts to help meet basic needs while supporting the long-term recovery of affected children and families.

Situation and Response Update: 7 Days Post-Disaster

Together with communities, the government, healthcare workers, academics, and key partners, WVI continues working to provide support tailored to the needs on the ground.

Because recovery is not just about rebuilding what was lost, but about ensuring that every child feels safe, healthy, supported, and given the opportunity to thrive once more.

Let us stand together for the children and families who need our support during this recovery period.
