3M Supports Nutrition Fulfillment of People during the Pandemic

#BersamaMelawanCovid19 - Coming from the anxiety of people about the difficulty of fulfilling food for daily consumption, Wahana Visi Indonesia (WVI) supported by 3M help the community amid the Covid-19 pandemic. The program named Cash Voucher Program is carried out in 2 large areas (Surabaya and Asmat District, Papua). 

Assistance is provided to families with certain criteria, such as families with toddlers, the elderly, pregnant women, etc. Beneficiaries in the Surabaya area receive donations in the form of vouchers worth Rp250,000 which can be used to buy various foodstuffs such as vegetables and groceries in shops/vendors that have collaborated with WVI. Meanwhile, the program in the Asmat District, Papua was provided in the form of main food items such as rice, green beans, salt, sugar, oil, and soy sauce to the people in four sub-villages. 

More than 400 families have been helped by this assistance program. Hundreds of them are families with children with special needs or disabilities. Although the aim is to help fulfill the community's food supply, in fact, foodstuff traders are also helped through this program. They get the opportunity to sell goods to people in need.

The distribution process of the program has begun in June 2020 and it will continue until the end of September 2020.
