Tahija Foundation Distributes Masks to Health Workers Up to Asmat, Papua

#BersamaMelawanCovid19 - COVID-19 has threatened every life in Indonesia including the families living in the remote areas of Asmat Regency, Papua. The health workers are always at the forefront in dealing with the spread of the virus and treating people affected by COVID-19. As one of Wahana Visi Indonesia (WVI) assisted areas, the safety of medical personnel in Asmat to overcome the COVID-19 also becomes the focus of WVI's work. Supported by Tahija Indonesia Foundation, WVI distributed Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) including KN95 masks to medical personnel in Asmat.

The distribution of KN95 masks was carried out at the end of June 2020 and handed over directly by Hotmianida Panjaitan, the Manager of the WVI Service Area in Asmat to the Head of the Asmat District Health Office, Richard Ruben Mirino. The masks are expected to distribute to various health centers in Asmat. WVI also handed over the KN95 mask from the Tahija Foundation to the medical personnel at the Agats Hospital. In total, 4,800 masks have been distributed in the Asmat regency.

“Thank you to WVI and the Tahija Foundation for the KN95 masks. This will help our health workers to carry out their duties,” said Richard, Head of the Asmat District Health Office.
