Benefit for My Children

Devi Sagita (38), a mother of eight children, is a community assisted by Wahana Visi Indonesia (WVI) in the Cipinang Besar Selatan area, East Jakarta. Since her husband died in 2021, Devi has had to find a way to survive raising her eight children. Fortunately, four of Devi's eight children are assisted by WVI Area Program Jakarta.

Devi's first to fourth children are registered as representatives of WVI children. Two of her children have been representatives of WVI's children since 2011.

To ensure that her children continue to receive an education, Devi also becomes a food seller and opens catering for certain events. The results of her efforts are not great. She feels lucky to get help from WVI through her children.

“This August 2022, I feel very helped by the appreciation for the children assisted by WVI. The assistance provided is worth IDR 210,000 per child. So the amount of assistance I received was Rp. 840,000. The assistance helped me in meeting the needs of my children,” said Devi.

The assistance that Devi's children receive coincides with their need for school supplies.

“Scouting equipment is needed because schools celebrate Scout Day which is commemorated in August. Thank you, Wahana Visi Indonesia for the assistance," Devi concluded.
