Benu and The Goats from Sponsor

Benu and The Goats from Sponsor

A brown little goat lies down in the arms of a boy named Benu. His smile grew wider when he mentioned the total number of goat beans.

"Now I have five goats," he said with sparkling eyes.

Benu's life began to change when he became the sponsored child of Wahana Visi Indonesia (WVI) through the child sponsorship program. That is a program that allows Benu to connect with sponsors from other regions.

Two years ago, Benu got money from the sponsor. He never thought that the money could provide good things for his family.

Unlike children his age who usually buy consumer goods, Benu uses his money to buy a goat. A promising investment made by a 14-year-old boy. At that time, he only bought one goat.

Now, Benu's goat can become a source of income. From the proceeds from selling one of the goats, Benu can buy various school supplies such as uniforms, bags, shoes, and books.

"You don't add money, all from selling goats," he said, glancing at his father.

Currently, Benu has five goats which he looks after well. This number may increase, tomorrow or the day after. The amount is not much with the hope that radiates for the future just because of a sponsor.
