Children's Stories: My Work for National Children's Day

Adit (16), a child from Jakarta, feels proud to create a beautiful moment in his life. One of them is the chairman of the 2021 HAN (National Children's Day) celebration for the DKI Jakarta area. Adit was happy because, under his coordination, the HAN celebration could be carried out well and even produced the Voice of the Children of Jakarta.

"This is a great source of learning for me, and I got a lot of knowledge about leadership, organization, event celebrations. Also yesterday I was able to have a dialogue with the City Service Officer and I felt nervous when I presented this HAN activity," said Adit.

Being able to bring the HAN 2021 celebration event for children in Jakarta is a matter of pride for him. One of the history that will become his encouragement in the future.

“There are also some things that make me disappointed and sad. It's sad because many committees are not actively involved to the fullest, while offline, many will join in," he said.

Even though he was still a child, Adit admitted that he and his friends were serious about preparing and working on the 2021 HAN celebration. They did virtual coordination even until nightfall. Sometimes, the coordination of time that collides with school time or takes up a night's rest, makes Adit disappointed.

"But I thank WVI for giving me this opportunity," he concluded.
