Faithful to Small Things

Deki Seo (52) is a change agent and also a member of KPAD (Village Child Protection Cadre), an assistant to the Lingkar Remaja children group, and a former church person in a village in Kuanfatu District, NTT. For 10 years Deki Seo has partnered with Wahana Visi Indonesia (WVI) and is the first change agent since WVI entered Kuanfatu District.

Deki, who had been called to serve God and the community, was very excited to partner with WVI. He decided to join as a change agent in 2012 and has always been faithful in every activity carried out by WVI.

Gradually, his ability to facilitate activities with children and the community became honed. Deki is also now a community leader in his village. Deki has even been trusted as a member of the KPAD since 2015.

According to him, his knowledge and experience while being one of the child protection cadres with WVI, he got various extraordinary experiences that improved his communication ability. Deki hopes that, by accompanying and training village children, there will be more young cadres who can be loyal and active in all WVI activities to help build a better village.
