Free Social Security for the Community

Free Social Security for the Community

Not all Indonesians have social security, which can help them in old age. This makes many people worry about their future, including if they have an accident at work.

The Wahana Visi Indonesia (WVI) I-COPE project, funded by the European Union, helps people to provide social security assistance through BPJS Ketenagakerjaan with work accident insurance and death insurance products to farmers in North Halmahera Regency.

This assistance was given to 435 people in the North Halmahera area to help the community in the future. Not only providing social security assistance, but WVI also collaborates with the Hohidiai clinic to provide free health checks to beneficiaries.

Ahmad Rosidi (32), a farmer in Sukamaju Village, North Halmahera Regency is one of the beneficiaries of this program. He also felt the benefits of this program.

"Thank you to WVI for assisting BPJS Employment and the Hohidiai Clinic in conducting free examinations on the community. This is very useful for the future,” said Ahmad.

This free social security program is a collaboration between WVI and BPJS Ketenagakerjaan and Hohidiai.
