Hanwha Life Back in Supports the Presence of RPTRA in Jakarta

After previously supporting the build of a Child-Friendly Integrated Public Space (RPTRA), Hanwha Life through Wahana Visi Indonesia back in supporting the establishment of RPTRA Kayu Mas in Pulogadung Area, East Jakarta. The 3rd RPTRA, the work of Wahana Visi Indonesia (WVI) together with the DKI Jakarta Empowerment, Child Protection and Population Office (Dinas PPAPP), was inaugurated on Tuesday (8/12/2020).

The RPTRA, which began construction in August 2020, is located on Jl. Kayu Mas Utara 1, RT 06 RW 09 Pulo Gadung Village, Pulo Gadung District, East Jakarta, on an area of 1,630 M2. The two RPTRAs that have been built first are the Jaka Teratai RPTRA in Jatinegara Kaum, East Jakarta in 2017, and the Anggrek RPTRA in Cempaka Putih Timur, Central Jakarta in 2020.

The development of RPTRA is one of the indicators of a child-friendly city and is a form of fulfilling children's rights to play, recreate, participate, and get information. The Kayu Mas RPTRA is the first RPTRA to be located in Pulo Gadung Village, so the existence of this RPTRA is expected to support the creation of space for positive activities for children and the general public in Pulo Gadung Village. It is estimated that as many as 20% of the total population in Pulo Gadung Village, which is around 7,816 are children (BPS 2019) who will later be able to enjoy the Kayu Mas RPTRA.

Virtually at the inauguration ceremony of the RPTRA, CEO of Hanwha Life Indonesia David Yeom admitted that he really appreciated the cooperation and support of the DKI Jakarta Government, especially the DKI Jakarta PPAPP Agency and Wahana Visi Indonesia for the Kayu Mas RPTRA construction project.

"Hopefully the Kayu Mas RPTRA, which has long been awaited by the surrounding community, can be a means of sharing happiness and also giving more meaning to life for others or what we call Life Pluser," said David.

On the same occasion, WVI National Director Doseba T. Sinay explained that the cooperation between WVI and the government and the community through the existence of this RPTRA is also proof of a form of concern for a good and healthy environment for children.

"Hopefully every form of contribution from each party can bring forth other benefits. Let's continue to collaborate to make every child live fully," said Doseba.

Hanwha Life continues to work with WVI to create more open spaces for children and the community. In that way, more children can feel the ideal environment for their growth and development.
