Integrated Health Post Cadre Jamboree Strengthen Cadres Services

To re-strengthen knowledge and raise the spirit of cadres in carrying out their services in the community, Wahana Visi Indonesia (WVI) held the Integrated Health Post Cadre Jamboree.

The activity, held at the Manna City Forest Park, South Bengkulu, on September 9, 2021, was officially opened by Usman Sahari as the Head of Public Health and John Iris Purba as the manager of the WVI South Bengkulu Area Program.

“The cadres are at the forefront in reducing stunting in making South Bengkulu Zero Stunting,” said Jhon when opening the Integrated Health Post Cadre Jamboree.

This activity was attended by 19 Integrated Health Posts in Bengkulu Selatan, 8 of which were assisted by WVI. Various competitions such as quizzes, individual counseling, and a five-table Integrated Health Post service demonstration were made lively by the cadres.

According to the cadres, this activity is the right time for them to show their skills and knowledge about Integrated Health Post that they have received from the direct assistance of WVI.

They strived to complete a series of competitions to bring home winning souvenirs, such as one of the Integrated Health Post cadres named Heni, who won 1st place in the individual counseling competition.

Even though Heni is still relatively new to being an Integrated Health Post cadre, she managed to impress the judges with her enthusiasm and ability to teach and how to interact with other participants.

It is the spirit like Heni who wants to be transmitted to other cadres so that more cadres have expertise because they are the spearhead of health in their village.

“The Jamboree was the first for me, there were a lot of good lessons to be learned, new experiences, new knowledge, meeting new friends, the spirit of competition, and being able to channel our talents and abilities as cadres. The first experience and being a champion was very memorable and made me even more enthusiastic to do better,” Heni said.
