Start from Animation, End with Falling in Love

Andreas Robertus could not sit still. The habit of being active and helping many people made his move to become one of the animation teachers for WVI assisted children in Papua. The man who chose film majoring in experimental animation and editing in college admitted that he knew the WVI volunteers from a friend's status on Instagram.

“When I was looking at the Instagram story, someone posted that WVI needed an animation teacher. Because it fits the skills I have, then I register right away,” said Andreas recalling how his initial journey was to become a volunteer with WVI.

The man who works as a Motion Grapher said that teaching animation to children in Papua is a fun experience.

"Children are happy and excited during the learning process even though the event was conducted online and there were technical problems. It did not drop the enthusiasm of the participant. That makes me happy and also excited," he continued.

According to him, although everyone can only do something from home, there are still opportunities to help others. He advised that more people would join as WVI volunteers.

"Come on, take the time to build other people with the skills you have now through WVI volunteer (activities)," he concluded.
