Support Public Health Promotion, Ministry of Health Collaborates with WVI

The Indonesian Ministry of Health through the Directorate of Health Promotion and Community Empowerment cooperates with Wahana Visi Indonesia (WVI) to realize the health status of the Indonesian people. This was marked by the signing of the Cooperation Agreement (PKS) which was carried out on 30 June 2022 at the Indonesian Ministry of Health office.

The signing of the PKS was carried out by the Director of Health Promotion and Community Empowerment, dr. Imran Agus Nurali, SpKO and Director of Quality Control of Wahana Visi Indonesia, Mitra Tobing.

The cooperation between the two is valid from June 2022 to May 2023. This PKS is also a derivative form of the Memory of Understanding between the Ministry of Health and WVI from December 2021 to December 2025.

The health promotion and community empowerment activities will target several focus activities such as: improving Health Information and Education Communication, Community Empowerment in supporting the implementation of Community Based Health Efforts (UKBM), and capacity building for Health Human Resources (HR) to implement advocacy and partnership. Furthermore, WVI and the government will move to assist the community and children, including providing training and assistance to cadres, health workers to Civil Society Organizations (CSOs).

This collaboration is expected to improve public health through health promotions and community empowerment, especially in the fields of nutrition, maternal and child health, environmental health, and non-communicable diseases.
