WVI Performs Disaster Response for NTT Flash Flood

#BanjirBandangNTT - Extreme weather, high-intensity rain accompanied by strong winds, which occurred in several regions of NTT on Saturday (April 3, 2021) then resulted in flash floods. According to joint data from the National Disaster Management Agency (BNPB), WALHI, and ANJAKI on Monday (April 5, 2021), recorded that 22,580 people were affected, 124 people died and 80 people were displaced due to flash floods in NTT.

Seeing this condition, Wahana Visi Indonesia (WVI) is committed to responding to a disaster for 3 months. Some of the responses that will be carried out by WVI include the provision of clean water, distribution of family and children's equipment packages. WVI also plans to provide non-cash assistance to affected communities.

WVI has 13 assisted areas (Program Areas and projects with the government and grant funds) with many sponsored children in NTT. Until now, WVI is still coordinating with many parties to ensure that the conditions of the assisted communities and WVI staff are still under monitoring.
