Digital Library in Sentani

Digital Library in Sentani

Children in Papua have extraordinary potential. They are eager to learn new things despite facing significant challenges and a wide literacy gap compared to children in other provinces.

There is so much we can do to break the barriers that limit learning opportunities in Papua. One powerful step forward is leveraging technology to develop a Digital Library—a learning platform accessible for children, adults, and even people with disabilities.

We invite you to take part in the establishment of this Digital Library, a literacy facility equipped with digital learning tools such as audiobooks, laptops, servers, internet connectivity, educational materials, and training and mentoring for local tutors. This program will impact more than 12,000 children (ages 6–18) and adults living across 11 villages in Biak Numfor and Sentani, Papua.

This facility will also strengthen the existing Reading Houses we have built together in Biak and Sentani—safe, informal learning spaces where children can broaden their knowledge, spark creativity, and find inspiration for their future.

Let’s help children in Papua gain equal access to quality education, just like children in other regions of Indonesia.

If you or your organization are interested in providing large-scale support and require a detailed program proposal, please contact us.
