WVI and Gereja Kristen Injili di Tanah Papua Synod Signed an MoU

Team of WVI and Gereja Kristen Injili di Tanah Papua Synod after signing partnership MoU for the prosperity of people in Papua

Wahana Visi Indonesia (WVI) has been serving Papua since 1998. WVI always make collaboration with the government, corporate, donors, communities, and faith organization. One of the partnership implementations is collaborating with Gereja Kristen Injili di Tanah Papua Synod.

The partnership commitment is taking into another level by signing an MoU by both of collaborator. This MoU signing event was held on Mei 2019. Both of WVI and Synod will commit to improving the capacity of church members to face the obstacles in education, health, economic, child protection and emergency sectoral for 3 years.

National Director of Wahana Visi Indonesia, Doseba Tua Sinay said, the challenges of people in Papua are not easy to be solved, even though there have been a lot of parties involved.

"Wahana Visi Indonesia sees the need to align with strategic stakeholders as one of the strategic and systematic steps to overcome these challenges. On this basis, WVI cooperates with Gereja Kristen Injili di Tanah Papua Synod," Doseba explained.

Meanwhile, Ps. Andrikus Mofuthe as head of with Gereja Kristen Injili di Tanah Papua Synod said that he has known a lot of story about what WVI has been done for people in Papua.

At the end of the signing, both parties saw that this event was not just an ordinary signing event. However, this is an alliance inspired by God's extraordinary plan for Tanah Papua in order to create a community and children in Tanah Papua who lives fully intact.

This cooperation will be carried out in several districts in Papua such as Jayapura Regency, Biak-Numfor Regency, Asmat Regency, Jayawijaya Regency and it is possible that it will continue to other regions.
