12 Youth of Children's Forum Assisted by WVI Launches First Book
The assistance of Wahana Visi Indonesia (WVI) for the Sambas Program Area for children's forums has returned in good results. This time, twelve youths who are members of the Teluk Keramat Children's Forum assisted by WVI showed off their work by making a book entitled "I am a Teenager". This book was officially launched today (27/7/2022) in front of the Regent of Sambas and the media crew.
Ignatius Anggoro, Area Program Manager of Sambas said, the launch of this book is one of the histories that WVI has made in Sambas. This first pure work created by teenagers in Sambas shows WVI's commitment to every child's life in all its fullness.
Anggoro added that the launch of this book is expected to motivate Sambas Regency towards achieving its commitment as a Child-Friendly Regency. Previously, it was noted that the emergence of child-friendly villages and sub-districts in Sambas.
"There are provinces and regencies that receive child-worthy awards, in West Kalimantan, there are two that were awarded, namely Melawi and Kubu Raya districts, while we will continue to try to follow up on Sambas Regency," he said.
Meanwhile, Sambas Regent H. Satono, S.Sos.I, M.H said, the launch of this book is a new opportunity for youth and youth in Sambas to be creative and reach wider opportunities.
"Because these children will become extraordinary talents, we encourage young people to the right opportunities. This launch will be a milestone for young people to work even more," he concluded.
