AMD Gives Computers for Students in Central Sulawesi

In order to celebrate the 50th anniversary, AMD (NASDAQ: AMD) donated the computer hardware to seven assisted schools of Wahana Visi Indonesia (WVI) in three districts of Central Sulawesi. Those AMD Athlon 200 GE computers were given to students and over 1,000 students become the beneficiaries. All donations were handed over in April 2018.

“We understand about the condition of people in Palu, Sigi, Donggala districts after tsunami and earthquake devastated their homeland. Based on that condition, we want to help them and contribute in increasing the productivity of students in Central Sulawesi,” says Ryan Sim as a Sales and Marketing Director of AMD Asean.

At present, all the computers have accepted by the students to be used for learning activity in school. Not only giving the computers, but AMD and WVI also providing the training for teachers who will operate the computers.

Meanwhile, the ceremonial of giving donation was held yesterday in the office of WVI in Jakarta. The gamers community and children of orphanage also came to this event.

As the closing event, AMD Indonesia will contribute in field visit and meet the beneficiaries in Central Sulawesi on Tuesday (May 22, 2019). By doing the visitation hopefully, people of Central Sulawesi can give the benefit and new spirits.
