BNI supports Child Friendly Schools in East Manggarai - NTT

"Before there was a water reservoir, in front of the classroom it looked dirty, but now it was no longer, it looked neat and clean. And they were very excited at this time, different from before. Children used their rest time by playing, but now they often gathered reading books“, said Theresia Din (52 years, SDK Menge Teacher)

Such was the comment given by the principal, teachers, and parents from the assistance of PT. Bank Negara Indonesia (Persero) Tbk, which was given to 4 schools in East Manggarai - NTT. These schools are SD Inpres Lento, SDK Menge, SDK Bajar and SDK Wesang where these schools already have clean water facilities, such as water tanks that can hold 1000 liters of water and distribute it in the bathroom and in front of their class via a tap.

In addition to clean water facilities, BNI also took part in improving children's life skills, through the development of dance, in the form of providing traditional gongs, sound systems, and music such as flute to students at SDI Lento. In addition, BNI built "Pondok Baca" in the Menge SDK and painted the inner wall with colorful colors.

In total, this project benefited 760 elementary school students (383 students; 377 female students) and 59 teachers.

WVI, the community, and children thanked, to PT. Bank Negara Indonesia (Persero) Tbk. for the support provided in the development of schools and children's life skills in East Manggarai - NTT
