Indosat Ooredoo and Microsoft Indonesia Provide Donations to Support Indonesian Literacy

In order to contribute to the spread of literacy in Indonesia and the empowerment of human resources, Indosat Ooredoo together with Microsoft Indonesia gave donations in the form of laptops to several non-governmental organizations (NGOs). Wahana Visi Indonesia is one of four organizations that have the opportunity to receive this donation on Wednesday (01/20/2019) in Jakarta. This support was carried out as a tangible action of the Corporate Social Responsibility of the two companies.

Arief Musta'in as Director & Chief Innovation and Regulatory Indosat Ooredoo said the donation support was carried out as a form of Indosat's trust in various NGOs to advance Indonesian education. This is in line with the vision of Indosat Ooredoo as the leader of digital telecommunication through education and community development.

Some challenges such as lack of teacher knowledge, low access to computers and lack of adequate networks make Indonesian education difficult to harmonize. For this reason, through the provision of 1,400 hardware and 1,400 software, Indosat Ooredoo and Microsoft hope that these devices can be utilized as well as possible.

Dr. Candra Wijaya as Strategic Management Director of Wahana Visi Indonesia who was present at the donation event also expressed his gratitude for the donation entrusted through Wahana Visi Indonesia.

"Wahana Visi Indonesia is also grateful for the partners who have helped programs in various regions outside Java, such as in Nias, Sikka, and Halmahera," he said.
