President Director of PT Sarana Multi Infrastruktur (Persero) visited the Library Boat Project in Yoboi Village Sentani - Papua

President Director of PT Sarana Multi Infrastruktur (Persero), Ibu. Emma Sri Martini, made a short visit to Kampung Yoboi - Sentani Papua, to see closely the activities of library boat that was donated by SMI. Ibu Emma with 15 entourage arrived at Sentani Airport at 10:30 WIT, and was greeted by Wahana Visi Indonesia and SMI representatives, Pak Mulyadi who had been in Papua the day before.

The group then headed to Pantai Yahim to cross by boat. Kampung Yoboi is one of the villages on the coast of the lake that served by library boat and also have been visited previously by Pak Enrico- CSR Coordinator and Pak Mulyadi – CSR Specialist SMI in July 2017.

When arrived at Obe (the name of balai pertemuan), the group was greeted by the children by singing the national anthem while raising Indonesian’s flag and the SMI flag. "Boat is one of the CSR programs that contain quality books to open the insights of children in Papua" said Ibu Emma in her speech.

Jayapura District Government represented by Head of District Education Office of Jayapura Regency, Bpk Alfius Toam, ST, M.M.T, and Head of Women Empowerment & Child Protection Office of Jayapura Regency, Mrs. Dra. Maria Bano was present also at the time and gave a speech.

On that occasion the District Government of Jayapura gave a souvenir handicraft to Ibu Emma and her staffs. Ibu Emma Sri Martini looked so happy when she read the story to the children. Ibu Emma often smiles and laughs when the children are so enthusiastic to answer the questions

At the end of the event, Ibu Emma and her entourage were pleased to see around of the Yoboi village, and visited SD Ifar Babrongko.

Around 4 pm, Ibu. Emma and her entourage left the place and went back across to Pantai Yahim. May this visit inspire them to continue supporting the education of children in Papua.
