Supporting the Second Wave of Covid-19 Emergency Response, DOW Distributes PPE Aid

The Covid-19 case, which had increased in July 2021, made Wahana Visi Indonesia (WVI) unable to remain silent. Through the second wave of Covid-19 disaster response (SCOPE), WVI has again assisted medical personnel to fulfill PPE in several health facilities. DOW also supports WVI in this response by providing several PPE and masks for WVI service areas.

Balekambang Public Health Center and Ancol Public Health Center are the two places where DOW distributed this assistance through WVI. PPE assistance was received directly by the health workers on duty at that time. This assistance is expected to help ease the burden on health workers while on duty to treat Covid-19 patients.

Drg, Nurlina as the head of the Balekambang Public Health Center was grateful for the attention given to the health workers. She said, “This PPE and oxygen cylinder are very useful for health workers and the community. We thank DOW and Wahana Visi Indonesia for this donation.”

Meanwhile, Hj. Nining S, as Head of the Public Welfare Section of Balekambang Village added, the health workers have sacrificed themselves to help the community during the pandemic, and the assistance given to them can greatly help the work of the health workers.

DOW's collaboration with WVI has been done many times. Not only supporting the provision of PPE assistance, but DOW has also assisted in the education of children in Landak and Jakarta districts by providing laptops for teachers and distributing school supplies and study credit for children in Jakarta.
