HSBC - WVI Celebrate Achievement of Pos Pintar Program

HSBC and Wahana Visi Indonesia (WVI) as well as the Integrated Health Post (Posyandu) cadres celebrate the achievement of the Post Pintar Program on Tuesday (12/12). Presenting the activity are Head of Sustainability PT. Bank HSBC Indonesia Nuni Sutiyoko, WVI’s CEO & National Director Doseba Tua Sinay, Nutritional Surveillance Section Head of Health Ministry Iwan Halwani, Miss Indonesia 2006 Agni Pratistha and representatives of the Posyandu cadres from Jakarta, Surabaya, and Pontianak.

During the three year implementation of Pos Pintar Program, HSBC and WVI accompany 151 Posyandu in three cities in Indonesia. This effort is in line with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) initiated by United Nation.

The Pos Pintar Program is an android based innovation to increase the quality of the Posyandu service through mobile Posyandu application, to monitor child growth and counseling on child nutrition.

During the occasion, the Posyandu cadres express that the Pos Pintar Program has great benefit for community people. According to them, the program can increase the presence of under five babies in Posyandu activities. Most mothers are eager to visit the Posyandu activity because they want to see thumb icon in the smart phone, showing that her child grows well.

The Posyandu is front guard in community development especially in health sector that was initiated in since 1986 and that many countries have learned from Indonesia in developing the Posyandu. As the activity center of the community people, the Posyandu is not only benefits children under five, but also benefits pregnant mothers and it is also part of the empowerment of child and mother health.

Nuni Sutyoko, Head of Sustainability PT. Bank HSBC Indonesia says as a banking institution HSBC always develops its long term business by considering social, environmental, and economic aspects. “That means that our growth is also part of the community growth and welfare. That is why we works with WVI and through the Pos Pintar Program we take part in increasing child and mother health,” says Mrs. Nuni.

Meanwhile, WVI’s CEO & National Director Doseba Tua Sinay stresses out that WVI is committed in increasing Indonesia family’s health and welfare. “We focus all this effort for the sake of children welfare, as our main focus of our service,” says Mr. Doseba.
