Nusantara Care Responds to West Sulawesi Earthquake

The Majene and Mamuju regency in West Sulawesi were hit by a 6.2 magnitude earthquake on January 15, 2021. Thousands of people especially children were affected by this earthquake. In responding to this emergency situation, PT Nusantara Infrastructure Tbk. in collaboration with Wahana Visi Indonesia (WVI) through the Nusantara Care program has distributed humanitarian aid. The assistance provided by Nusantara Infrastructure was in form of a hygiene kit consisting of toothbrushes and toothpaste for children and adults, soap, shampoo for children and adults, towels, and sanitary napkins.

The hygiene kit is one of the most basic necessities needed by children and communities affected by the earthquake because they have to leave their homes and stay in evacuation camps. A total of 40 packages of hygiene kit have been distributed from January to February 2021. This is not the first time for Nusantara Infrastructure to join the emergency response with WVI because previously Nusantara Infrastructure responded to the Jakarta flood and the COVID-19 pandemic in 2020.
