Volunteer Day With HSBC
To support the Maternal and Child Health program, HSBC Bank distributes its funds through Wahana Visi Indonesia (WVI). Through Kader and Smart Integrated Health Post or ‘Posyandu’ for Healthy and Smart Children team (Pos Pintar), WVI performs activities ongoing Volunteer Day in Smart Integrated Health Post (Posyandu) Sungai Jawi Luar sub-district, Pontianak.
Not only provide financial support, HSBC also invites its employees to join this activity. Health workers from Public Health Center (Puskesmas) Perum I and community leaders are also support this event.
Volunteer Day activities begin in the morning. The team started to prepare the equipments since 07:00 am. Furthermore, volunteers, Kader and Smart Integrated Health Post or ‘Posyandu’ for Healthy and Smart Children team (Pos Pintar) listened to the guidance of group assistance.
Volunteers and team were invited to perform various activities that enhance a sense of community. For example, cooking and decorating Posyandu.
The team was divided into two groups. They enjoyed the activities during Volunteer Day. They competed to give the best food and decoration in that event.
Lim Chai Fung, one of HSBC's employee and also a volunteer is very happy to attend this event. She hopes such an event can still be done next time.
"The event has been running smoothly, we are very happy, tired but happy, we hope that this kind of event can continue all the time, as well as to introduce new HSBC brand or product to the people," said her.
