Allianz Supports Vaccination Program for Indonesian Children

The second wave of the COVID-19 pandemic that happened in the mid-2021 caused the COVID-19 cases to increase in various regions in Indonesia. Many parties should work together to respond to this situation. Allianz Indonesia through the Allianz Peduli Foundation also contributed to the handling of the increasing case of COVID-19 together with Wahana Visi Indonesia. One of the programs implemented is mobile vaccination in the Sigi and Donggala regency, Central Sulawesi.

This mobile vaccination program is the first vaccination program given to 500 people (400 children aged 12-17 years and 100 people with disabilities). Meanwhile, the administration of the second dose of vaccine to 500 people was continued by the local Health Office.

One of the participants who took part in the vaccination program was Zacky, 18, a student from Donggala regency. Zacky was excited but also scared when he got the vaccine for the first time. However, because the benefits of the COVID-19 vaccine were greater, Zacky slowly overcame his fear.

“I am pleased. I want to be vaccinated to be healthy. I hope my other friends also get the vaccine. Thank You!” he said after being vaccinated on October 28, 2021.

In addition, the mobile vaccination program is also carried out through education to the public through banners, SMS blasts, audio promotions, and billboards that target 15,103 people who live in the targeted villages.
